Director & Head Coach
Cert III & IV in Fitness | Strength & Conditioning Specialist
Jason is the Director and Head Coach at Parkes Athletic, with over 10 years of hands-on experience in the fitness industry with a passion for injury rehabalitation. Jason leads from the front—combining technical skill with a no-nonsense, athlete-first approach to training.
Jason specialises in strength and conditioning and is known for pushing clients beyond their comfort zone with purpose and care. His coaching philosophy is simple but powerful: “Effort over results.”
Whether working with elite performers or everyday members, Jason focuses on building strong foundations, consistency, and resilience—in and out of the gym.
Emma Montgomery
Operations Manager | Coach | Sports Nutritionist
Cert III & IV in Fitness | Certificate in Sports Nutrition | CrossFit Level 1
Emma is the engine behind Parkes Athletic—balancing coaching, nutrition, and operations with precision and purpose. With certifications in fitness, nutrition, and CrossFit, she brings a complete and performance-focused approach to training and client care.
Whether she’s running the gym floor, guiding members through training sessions, or helping clients fuel their bodies for better results, Emma leads by example.
Her philosophy is grounded in consistency and personal accountability, summed up in her go-to quote: “Do it even if you don't want to.” Driven, reliable, and results-focused, Emma plays a vital role in keeping the Parkes Athletic community strong and moving forward.
Emily Blackstock
Coach
Cert III in Fitness | CrossFit Level 1
Emily is a committed coach at Parkes Athletic, known for her focus on technique and delivering effective, results-driven training. With a strong foundation in functional fitness and CrossFit, she helps members build strength, improve movement quality, and reach their goals safely and efficiently.
Her coaching philosophy is grounded in persistence and growth, summed up by her favourite phrase: “Progress, not perfection.” Emily creates an environment where every member feels supported and challenged to become their best self.
Stacie Medlyn
PA Little Ninjas Coach
CrossFit Level 1
Stacie leads our PA Little Ninjas program, helping kids build coordination, confidence, and a love for movement in a supportive and structured environment. She’s passionate about creating a fun and safe space where young athletes can thrive.
While she may not be on the floor every day, her commitment to her athletes is unwavering.
As she puts it: “Not here every day but always here for your goals.” Stacie plays an essential role in shaping the next generation of movers at Parkes Athletic.
